- Grade: SAE 10W-30 (scooter oil) — confirm on your manual or filler cap.
- Quantity: about 0.8 litre at an oil change.
- When: at each service — about every 6,000 km or 6 months; sooner in stop-and-go traffic or dust.
Things specific to scooters like the Activa
- Transmission (gear) oil in the final drive is separate from engine oil — ask for it to be checked at services.
- Drive belt (CVT): no chain to lube, but the belt wears; it's inspected at services and replaced when worn.
- Air filter: Honda scooters use a paper filter that's replaced, not cleaned.
