At home in Indore, like in most Indian families, we don't have one vehicle — we have a few. Cars, bikes, each with its own service book, its own insurance, its own PUC and its own warranty. For years I believed I had it all under control.

I didn't.

I'd stand at the service centre trying to remember: was the oil changed in the car or the bike? Was it in March — or was that last year? Which one's insurance was due this month? The answers were scattered across a glovebox, a drawer full of bills, and a few half-remembered WhatsApp messages.

And sometimes, forgetting cost me. An oil change slipped far past when it was due. A service that kept the warranty going came and went before I noticed. Nothing dramatic — just the quiet, avoidable kind of mistake that leaves you feeling you've let down something you care about.

So I built the friend who remembers

In Hindi, a babu is the person who keeps the records straight. That's what I wanted for my vehicles: someone who knows what was done, when, and on which vehicle — and who reminds me, gently and on time, before something is due.

MotorBabu is that. It remembers every service, every oil change, every PUC, insurance and RC date — for every car, bike and scooter in the family. It tells you what's coming up, by kilometres or by date, and keeps your papers on your phone for the day you need them at a police check.
