Questions people ask

When is the first service of the Splendor Plus?

At about 500–750 km or 60 days, whichever comes first. Your service booklet has the exact window.

How many free services does the Splendor Plus get?

Usually five, spread over the first year or so — roughly at 750, 3,000, 6,000, 9,000 and 12,000 km. Free services cover labour; oil and parts are usually charged.

Which engine oil does the Splendor Plus use?

SAE 10W-30, API SL, JASO MA2 motorcycle oil — Hero recommends its own Hero 4T Plus or an equivalent. About 0.85 litre at an oil change (1.0 litre after an engine overhaul).

How often should I change the Splendor's engine oil?

Follow your booklet. Many owners change it every 3,000–5,000 km in city use. MotorBabu's default for motorcycles is every 5,000 km or a year, whichever comes first.

How often should I lube the chain?

Every 500–1,000 km, and after riding in rain. Keep it adjusted to the slack marked in the manual — a dry or loose chain costs mileage and wears the sprockets.
