Check your insurance and PUC by number plate
Enter your vehicle number — we'll find when your insurance and PUC run out in the government registration records, and remind you on WhatsApp before they do.
Finding your vehicle…
The registration records can take up to 20 seconds.
How it works
- Enter your vehicle number — car, bike or scooter.
- Confirm it's you with a code sent to your phone. Your number is your MotorBabu account; there's no password.
- See your dates — insurance valid till, with the insurer, and PUC valid till, straight from the government registration records (VAHAN).
- Get reminded on WhatsApp a week before each one runs out, and on the day. Reply STOP any time.
Your vehicle and its dates are saved to your account. Get the MotorBabu app and sign in with the same number — it's already there, with service reminders by km or date, your fuel log and your papers offline. When you renew, MotorBabu finds the new date in the registration records by itself.
Good to know
- The registration records can lag. A renewal can take a few days to show up, and some PUC centres upload late. If your certificate or policy says something different, it's the paper that counts — you can correct the date in the app.
- No owner details. The records include the owner's name and address; we discard them straight away and never store or show them.
- Limits. To keep it free and stop people checking strangers' vehicles, each account can look up 5 vehicles a day and 10 a month. Checking the same vehicle again within 30 days doesn't count.
